1974 Born as the eldest son of Kobei Kato VII

2000 Completed graduate studies at Kyoto City University of Arts subject as ceramics at Department of crafts

2001 Entered the family business, Kobei Pottery

2002 Built a flame-reducing kiln by himself

2007 Solo Exhibition at Matsuzakaya Nagoya Store (Also '10, '13, '16, '19)
