Overview

From ancient times, Chrysanthemum and rice plant are special things to connect emperor of Japan.
The current era, Heisei, ended on 30th April 2019, and new imperial era ‘Reiwa’ has started with Emperor Tokuhito.

There is Japanese harvest ritual called Niinamesai during a harvest season. This annual Shinto ritual is celebrated by the Emperor, who thanks the Shinto deities for a prosperous year and prays for a fruitful new year. This year, the ritual called ’Daijyosai’ is held by the new Emperor of the new imperial era of Reiwa.
On this special occasion in this special year, we are honored to celebrate with a new crop of rice and Japanese sake.
We hope this will be a great opportunity to think about the importance of rice and its true meaning to the people of Japan.
