My sculptures are not a result from me carving my own ideas or images out of stone, rather they represent an attempt to express the interaction between a single human being and nature.
Like flowing water, I round the corners of a block of stone to create my globular works, ‘Sphere’.
Like the blowing wind, I carve inside stone pillars to create my ‘Ninguen’.
My works do not spring from confrontation with nature, but rather from coexistence.
They are realized through the superimposition of life, which we are unable to control ourselves, upon stone.
